Terms of use

1. Who we are

Upskill AI Academy is run by an individual based in the Philippines. In these terms, "we" and "us" means the person who runs Upskill AI Academy, and "you" means the person using the site. You can reach us at upskillwithaiacademy@gmail.com.

2. Who can use the site

You must be 18 or over to create an account. An account is for one person. Give a real email address you can open, because we use it to confirm your account and to match purchases to you.

3. What you get

• A free account opens Tier 1 of every course.
• Tier 2 and Tier 3 are one-off purchases for each course. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal. Tier 3 includes everything in Tier 2.
• Access lasts for as long as we offer the course. If we decide to close a course you have paid for, we will email you at least 30 days before it closes.

We update lessons, videos and quizzes from time to time, mostly to keep up with changes to the AI tools they teach. The content of a tier may change, but we will not remove the main topics a tier lists when you buy it.

4. Using the content

We give you a personal licence to use the courses for your own learning, including at work. You may copy the prompts and templates into Claude or your own documents and use the results in your job. That is what they are for.

You may not:

• share your login, or let anyone else use your account;
• copy, sell, publish or share the lessons, videos or quizzes, in whole or in large parts;
• use the content to build a competing course or to train an AI model;
• try to get around the paywall, or to reach other people's data.

The courses, videos, quizzes, design and the Upskill AI Academy name and logo belong to us.

5. Prices and payment

• Prices on the site are in US dollars. At checkout you may see the price in your own currency, and the checkout page shows the final amount, including any tax, before you pay.
• Payments are taken by Dodo Payments, which sells to you as the merchant of record. It handles the payment, sales tax and receipts, and its own buyer terms apply to the payment. We do not keep your card, bank or e-wallet details.
• An offer price applies to purchases made while the offer is shown on the site. If we change a price, it does not change what you have already paid.

6. Refunds

You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of buying a paid tier. The refund policy explains how.

7. Claude and other tools

The courses teach you to use Claude, an AI assistant made by Anthropic. You need your own Claude account, which is a separate agreement between you and Anthropic under Anthropic's terms, including what plan you pay for. We do not control Claude and are not responsible for what it does or produces.

Upskill AI Academy is independent. It is not produced, sponsored or endorsed by Anthropic. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic, PBC.

8. Training, not advice

The courses are education. They are not legal, regulatory, compliance, tax, accounting, financial or HR advice, and they do not replace your employer's policies or the people who approve your work. AI tools can be wrong. You are responsible for what you share with them, for checking what they produce, and for what you do with it. The examples use invented companies and people.

9. Your account

Keep your login details private and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example by sharing logins or copying the content. If we close an account for that reason, we do not refund it. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

10. Our responsibility to you

We run the site with reasonable care, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, lost profits or lost data, or for decisions you make using what you learn here, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer that the law does not allow us to limit.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will show the new date at the top of this page, and email you about any change that affects what you have bought. The terms in force when you bought a tier continue to apply to that purchase.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. If you have a complaint, please write to us first and we will try to put it right. If we cannot agree, the courts of the Philippines can decide the dispute, but you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live if your local law allows it.
